How much does an aircond service cost in JB?
A normal aircond service in JB is RM 99 a wall-split unit at 1.0 to 1.5 HP and RM 130 at 2.0 to 2.5 HP. All prices include 8% SST, tax invoice on request, and what we quote is what you pay.

What does a normal aircond service include?
A normal service takes about 60 minutes a unit, with the unit largely assembled:
- Filters: taken out, washed and dried before they go back. A damp filter refitted into a cold unit is where the smell starts.
- Blower wheel: cleaned. When dirty, it is the part actually restricting your airflow.
- Indoor coil: checked and cleaned. If it needs a wash instead, we say so rather than charge for a service that will not fix it.
- Drain tray and drain line: flushed. Units drip down the wall in this climate because the drain line is blocked; clearing it is two minutes during a service and a call-out afterwards.
- Outdoor condenser fins: cleaned. Near the water in Permas Jaya, Masai and Pasir Gudang, we also check fin condition and the mounting bracket on units past five years.
- Refrigerant pressure: checked and the temperature differential measured before we leave. If the charge is low we say so and quote the leak repair separately; when the recharge goes ahead, the leak test is included in the gas price. Does your aircond need a service, a chemical wash or a repair?
What the unit is doing decides the job:
- Cooling is fine and you just want regular air conditioner maintenance: normal service, RM 99.
- Airflow has dropped and there is a smell in the first minute after switching on: aircond chemical wash in Johor Bahru, 90 to 120 minutes a unit, washed in place on the wall.
- Not cooling at all, tripping the breaker, icing up, dripping water inside or grinding: a fault, not dirt. aircond repair in Johor Bahru starts with a diagnosis at RM 79 that comes off the bill if you go ahead.

Is gas top up included in an aircond service?
No. The pressure check is included, the gas is not. If the charge is low there is a leak, and we quote the leak repair separately rather than pouring refrigerant into a unit that will lose it again. When the recharge goes ahead, the leak test is included in the gas price. A partial top up is RM 250 to RM 350 for R32, RM 280 to RM 400 for R410A and RM 380 to RM 500 for R22, 8% SST included.
Do you charge extra for travel in JB?

How much is an aircond chemical wash in JB?
A chemical wash in JB is RM 120 a unit for three or more wall splits at 1.0 to 1.5 HP in one visit, from RM 180 for a single wall-split unit at 1.0 to 1.5 HP, and RM 220 at 2.0 to 2.5 HP. A chemical overhaul, with the whole indoor unit off the wall and stripped, is RM 250 a unit, RM 290 at 2.0 to 2.5 HP.
How often should an aircond be serviced in Malaysia?
On heavy use, service every 3 months and plan a chemical wash every 12 to 24 months. Light use, a bedroom unit a few nights a week: a service every 6 months and a chemical wash every 2 to 3 years. A unit that has gone three years without attention may need a wash rather than a service, and we say so before booking.
Is there a cheaper aircond service in JB than RM 99?
There are RM 50 services advertised in Johor Bahru, and some of them are honest jobs on small units. Before you compare, ask any quote whether the blower wheel, drain line and refrigerant pressure check are included.
